Observations from EUREF & IGS Real-time GNSS Networks
EUREF's Real-time Analysis project and the IGS Real-time Pilot Project provide access to observations from their real-time GNSS networks. These are made available for test and evaluation and come as NTRIP streams in RTCM or SOC format.
1. Real-time Observations from EUREF-IP and IGS-IP Ntrip Broadcasters
The BKG operates the Ntrip Broadcaster www.euref-ip.net to distribute streams from the EUREF Permanent Network (EPN) as well as data from other European resources, see distribution Map and list of Streams. In addition, BKG operates the Ntrip Broadcaster www.igs-ip.net to distribute streams from the International GNSS Service (IGS) and data from other global resources, see distribution Map and list of Streams.
Most of the streams on the EUREF-IP and IGS-IP Ntrip Broadcasters are protected. Authorization is provided through an online Registration procedure. www.euref-ip.net as well as www.igs-ip.net are accessible through ports 80 and 2101. Note that when using services of a Mobile Internet Service Provider (ISP), it may be necessary to receive data through port 2101 instead of 80. Thus, in case of problems with a Mobile ISP, you may like to try www.euref-ip.net:2101 or www.igs-ip.net:2101.
2. Global Network of Ntrip Broadcasters for EUREF and IGS.
Because of the increasing world-wide usage of GNSS data in real-time, other Ntrip Broadcasters are involved to distribute the stream dissemination workload in accordance with a global Broadcast Concept. The following is a list of all broadcasters especially operated in support of IGS.
| # | Caster IP:Port | Operator | Country | Register for access | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | www.igs-ip.net:2101 | Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) | Germany | Registration | Primary broadcaster |
| 2 | 192.104.43.25:2101 | Geoscience Australia (GA) | Australia | geodesy(at)ga.gov.au | Regional broadcaster |
| 3 | ntrip.gnsslab.ch:2101 | GNSS Research Center, Wuhan University | China | ilym55(at)163.com | Regional broadcast relay, partial copy of #1 |
| 4 | 139.17.3.112:4080 | German Research Centre for Geoscience (GFZ) | Germany | maram(at)gfz-potsdam.de | Thematic broadcast relay for RTIGS AC's, partial copy of #1 |
| 5 | igs-ip.gmv.com:2101 | GMV | Spain | http://igs-ip.gmv.com | Thematic broadcast relay, partial copy of #1 |
Concerning EUREF and the European continent, a number of National Broadcasters is operated by various agencies and institutions. EUREF may be understood here as an example for IGS densifications. Other densification areas handling open real-time data and operating Ntrip Broadcasters are North-America (CORS, NAREF, PBO), Australia (AUSNET), South-America (SIRGAS), and Africa (AFREF).
3. Highrate RINEX Files From Converted EUREF and IGS Streams
Highrate IGS and Highrate EUREF RINEX observation files for 15min intervals with 1sec sampling are converted from streams and kept available for a period of three month at BKG's Regional IGS Data Center. Files are derived from streams coming either in RTCM Version 2, RTCM Version 3, or RTIGS/SOC format. They could show small gaps of a couple of seconds or become completely unavailable in case of longer lasting communication problems.
