Privacy
The BKG GNSS Data Center is operated by the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodasy (BKG). BKGs general privacy policy at https://www.bkg.bund.de/EN/Service/Privacy/privacy.html is also valid for the GNSS Data Center. The data center specific amendments are described in the following.
Ordering the BKG Ntripcaster Software
If you order the BKG Ntripcaster from this website, we must process your personal data to carry out pre-contractual measures and the contract according to Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Further you will be notified about new releases of the software. The following personal data are needed to process your order:
- company/institution
- name, first name
- country
- e-mail address
- phone and fax optionally
- date and time of the order
You can let us edit or remove your personal data any time by contacting us via BKG-GDC@bkg.bund.de.
User accounts for up- and download of files
If you sign up for an account at BKG's GNSS Datacenter or to use a personalised service, the following data
will be stored on BKG premises:
- company/institution
- name, first name
- street, postal code, city and country
- e-mail address
- date and time of the registration
- public SSH keys optionally
Legal basis for the processing of these data is the consent of the concerned individuals. We do not share your data
with third parties.
Purpose: We need your data in order to provide you with the requested service, to inform you about
upcoming changes and to respond to any abnormalities that may occur on the server side. The data are needed to
contact you in case of any improper use of our services and safeguard the security of our systems.
The data sets may be used for statistical evaluation and/or to analyse system performance. In case of attacks on our
infrastructure, these data are needed to initiate legal and criminal proceedings.
Editing and removal: You can let us edit or remove your personal data any time by contacting us via
BKG-GDC@bkg.bund.de. Accounts that have not been used for
12 months are deleted by BKG staff periodically.
Personal data in uploaded GNSS data and product files
The BKG GNSS Datacenter was installed for the pupose of providing open access to GNSS data and product files from
various networks like the german GREF, the european EUREF or the international IGS permanent GNSS network.
Some of these files that were uploaded to us or related data centers and are available on our servers may contain
personal data as part of the file headers. By accepting our privacy policy the data provider agrees that the data
and product files are provided with the intent to make them publicly available. Files may also be transmitted to
global IGS data centers, following our responsibility as regional IGS data center, see
IGS guidelines. Files uploaded into
restricted projects or networks are only accessible for project members.
You can let us edit or delete your personal data by contacting us via BKG-GDC@bkg.bund.de.
User accounts for GNSS real-time data from BKG NtripCaster
User accounts, that are issued after registering at https://register.rtcm-ntrip.org, are entitled to receive real-time data streams from our casters euref-ip.net, igs-ip.net and products.igs-ip.net. The casters and the registration website are administered by Alberding GmbH on behalf of the BKG. You may also want to check their privacy policy, which can be found at https://www.alberding.eu/en/dataprotection.html. If you register for an account, the following data will be stored:
- organization name and type
- name, first name
- street, postal code, city and country
- e-mail address
- date and time of the registration
- ip-address from each client that accesses the caster
